Today (Friday, January 21st) is National Squirrel Appreciation Day.
Its a day to honor the sometime mischievous – occasionally destructive – ALWAYS entertaining squirrel.
That is unless, of course, they invade your attic (see Ross Maxwell).
Anyhow, let’s celebrate the inventiveness and innovation of the human species and the ingenuous-dexterity of the squirrel with The Backyard Squirrel Maze/Ninja Warrior Course.
Inventor Mark Rober was sick and tired of his neighborhood squirrels constantly raiding his bird feeders and decided to construct a Rube Goldberg Machine to see how far the squirrels would go for their precious seed.
Its mesmerizing.
Rober actually has a series of these Squirrel Ninja Warrior Course videos on his YouTube channel.
