The LEGO SUCK IT Vacuum is the brainchild of inventor Matty Benedetto, product designer extraordinaire.
Benedetto’s YouTube channel Unnecessary Inventions is where he designs & builds 2-4 brand new products each week that solve problems that don’t exist.
This time it involves those pesky LEGO bricks that you step on.
The idea of the SUCK IT is loosely based on an episode of The Office where David Wallace tells Michael Scott the idea for an invention called the SUCK IT which is a vacuum that helps kids learn how to pick up their toys.
But the LEGO Suck It utilizes a shop-vac and stackable sorting trays to sift the LEGO* by brick size.
*Editor’s Note: the plural of LEGO is LEGO
Brilliant and maybe not so unnecessary as you’d think – just ask any parent who’s stepped on one of those little plastic @#%ers if they’d buy one and the answer would most likely be “Yes!”
