Capt. Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is back teaching a whole new crop of Top Gun recruits – including the son of his late wingman ‘Goose’… uh… awkward.
Along with Cruise, ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘ stars Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, John Hamm and a long list of newcomers as the young guns. The trailer also features for the first time a name-drop for Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky – whether Val Kilmer shows up physically in the film is still to be seen.
The flight scenes look absolutely incredible as shot by Director Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy).
