Vera Farmiga from the Conjuring movies teamed up with Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian to perform the classic Iron Maiden song “The Trooper” to show her support for Ukraine. She is of Ukrainian descent. She even starts off the song by shouting “Slava Ukraini!” . . . which means “Glory to Ukraine!
Also, “The Trooper” is based on the Charge of the Light Brigade, a failed military action by the British cavalry against WHO? That’s right . . . THE RUSSIANS.
The band also included Vera’s husband Renn Hawkey, who plays keyboards for the rock band Deadsy. It happened at a music school called the Rock Academy in Woodstock, New York.
