Today (amongst many things) is ‘STUPID DAY’ at least according to KISS’ Gene Simmons and in ‘honor’ of that he’s encouraging his fans on Twitter to send videos of them burping.
To prime the pump, Simmons even posted a video of himself burping with the caption, “It’s Stupid Day. Send me your videos burping.”
Stupid? Sure. But mindless fun in the face of a mind-numbing, daily, tidal wave of bad and depressing news is most welcomed.
Comments on Twitter ranged from the absurd to the sublime.
- “If I sent you that would you send me the KISS 2020 Goodbye merch that I paid for (and was promised to get) over a year ago?”
- “Have you changed your medications over the past few weeks?”
- “I’d rather belch and taste it, than fart and waste it.”
- “When is fart day?”
- “Boss…that’s like a 1.2 out of 10. You can do better than that; your bass has more sustain than that burp.”
- “Disgusting. Please delete immediately or i will be contacting Twitter Support. I have already reported this post and have instructed others to do so as well.”
- “Rookie Burp! If you can’t last at least 5 seconds, you’re a burp tourist.”
