GREEN BAY, Wis. — The state Fire Marshall’s Office blames careless use of smoking materials for a fire that heavily damaged a Green Bay home.
That fire displaces two adults and eight children.
Green Bay Fire Rescue was alerted to reports of flames coming from a second story of a single-family home in the 900 block of Elmore Street at 12:20 p.m. Saturday. Fire crews were able to bring the blaze under control within 20 minutes.
No one was injured in that fire, which caused an estimated $80,000 in damage.
