This Band Has No Past: How Cheap Trick Became Cheap Trick is the name of the new book about Cheap Trick written by Brian J. Kramp. If you’re an old-school Cheap Trick fan you may recognize that title as the name of the fictional book that came with Cheap Trick’s debut 1977 self-titled album. Kramp conducted over 80 interviews for the book and original drummer Bun E. Carlos said:
“Brian Kramp dug deep for the details. After reading his book, my black-and-white memories are now in color. Great work, Brian!”
The forward is written by Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament and it will be out on September 6th on the 45th anniversary of the band’s second album In Color.
