LOMIRA, Wis–The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department recovers more than $80,000 worth of drugs allegedly thrown from a car involved in a high speed chase. Deputies tried to stop the vehicle along Interstate 41 around 10:00 Tuesday night when the driver took off.
A bag was thrown from the vehicle before it crossed over into Dodge County. The chase ended with the suspect losing control of the car near the Quad Grahics plant in Lomira.
The 28-year old Racine man was arrested a short distance away. The bag found along the interstate contained 2,500counterfeit oxycodone pills and three ounces of cocaine. There was also a gun and a scale recovered from the car. Criminal charges are pending.
