TOWNSHIP OF EDEN, Wis. — A girl is seriously injured in an accident involving hay bales in Fond du Lac County.
Sheriff’s officials say the 9-year-old and two other children were chasing after kittens in a barn in the township of Eden Wednesday afternoon.
The girl remained at ground level while the other children climbed up onto two large hay bales that were stacked on top of each other. The bales tipped over and trapped the girl. She was removed and airlifted to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
The other children were not hurt.
