SHAWANO, Wis. — The superintendent of the Shawano School District is stepping down.
Randi Anderson is resigning on Sept. 2, saying in a statement that she needs to spend more time focusing on family.
An online petition calling for Anderson’s removal had nearly 1,200 signatures as of late Thursday morning. It cites budget concerns in the district and staff resignations.
Five school board members have also resigned this summer.
