OSHKOSH, Wis–The state Department of Justice is now handling the case of an Oshkosh man accused of hitting a paddlewheel boat in the Fox River this summer in a hit and run crash. The D-O-J is not providing any information on why it will oversee any potential prosecution of Jason Lindemann.
Video footage shows Lindemann’s powerboat crashing into the Loos Cruise on the Fox during the night of July 9th. Eleven people on board were hurt.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department has recommended charges of reckless endangerment and failing to render aid in a boating accident–but no charges have been filed yet.
