It’s a collector’s dream in western Wisconsin as a longtime museum closes its doors and will auction off its inventory this weekend.
For 29 years, Elmer’s Auto & Toy Museum in Fountain City, WI showcased a number of collectible toys and vehicles in their expansive property near the Wisconsin-Minnesota border. The museum announced earlier this year that this would be the last season for the museum and now they are preparing for a four-day auction to move some of the prized exhibits to interested collectors. Among the items up for bid are numerous classic cars and motorcycles, signs and other automotive memorabilia. There will also be many toys available including many pedal cars and bicycles.
The auction will be held from September 14th through the 17th at the museum and via the internet. Mecum Auctions – known for their televised collector car auctions – will handle the event. Online registration is available here.
