This weekend, an ad for the French auto maker Peugeot, featuring the Wacky Racers, showed up in my Facebook feed. It was created several years ago for the Brazilian TV market but this is the first I’ve seen of it.
Among the Racers seen in the ad; mobsters The Ant Hill Mob (The namesake of our friends in the Manitowoc motorcycle club) in the Bulletproof Bomb, the prehistoric Slag Brothers in the Boulder Mobile, Sergeant Blast and Private Meekly in the armored car/tank hybrid the Army Surplus Special, the Red Max in the Crimson Haybaler, the Gruesome Twosome in the Creepy Coupe, Penelope Pitstop in the Compact Pussycat and, of course, Dick Dastardly and Muttley from the Mean Machine.
