Having just found out this week that people can travel with unfrozen turkeys in their carry-on luggage – this shouldn’t come as a surprise – but still… WTF?!
TSA officers at JFK Airport in New York City were shocked to find an orange cat inside a checked bag after it went through the X-ray machine.
Please explain.
A TSA spokesperson said that the traveler told officials at the airport that the cat belonged to someone else in his household and had no idea the cat was inside the bag.
Anyone buying that one?
The TSA said, in a punny Instagram post:
We’re about to let the cat out of the bag on a hiss-toric find.
While this CATch had our baggage screening officers at JFK airport saying, “Come on meow!” The passenger said, “I didn’t know it was in there.” Wish we were kitten!
The x-ray machine just became the cat’s savior because, according to the agency, the likelihood of the cat surviving the flight in the cargo hold with any of it’s nine lives remaining would’ve been slim.
