TOWNSHIP OF HARTLAND, Wis. — One person is dead following a crash in Shawano County.
The sheriff’s office says an 81-year-old woman from the Cecil area lost control of her vehicle on Townline Road in the township of Hartland around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The vehicle entered the ditch, struck a tree and rolled. Life-saving measures were performed but were unsuccessful.
While the crash remains under investigation, a responding deputy reported road conditions becoming icy due to heavy freezing rain.
