The nominees for the 2023 class of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame were announced early Wednesday morning featuring a number of WAPL artists. Soundgarden made the cut along with Iron Maiden and the late Warren Zevon. Kate Bush – who had been previously nominated as well as a WAPL artist in the 80s – is up for nomination once again following a year of resurgence thanks to her hit “Running Up That Hill” being featured on the Netflix show Stranger Things. Other nominees include Rage Against the Machine, Willie Nelson, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper and George Michael among others.
Fans once again are offered the opportunity to vote for their favorites, with a fraction of fan voting determining the final outcome. Fans can vote at the HOF website by following the link here. The final list of inductees will be announced in May.
