MADISON, Wis–The state Supreme Court hears arguments in a challenge to the town of Harrison’s transportation utility fee. An Outagamie County judge initially ruled last year that the town cannot impose a fee on all residents to pay for road repair and construction projects, following a legal challenge by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty.

The Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling in the case this summer. The lawsuit has put on hold planned transportation utility fees in a number of other municipalities in the Fox Valley.
