OSHKOSH, Wis–The promoters of the Train and Better Than Ezra concert scheduled for August 6th at the Leach Amphitheater in Oshkosh have finally secured that date to use the facility. F-M Entertainment, a Joliet, Illinois music promoter, turned in an application and paid the required fee.
Last week, the city sent out a press release notifying the public that the Oshkosh Arena–which was promoting the show and selling tickets for it–had not yet applied to reserve the Leach for that date. One of the sticking points was a 46-thousand dollar past due bill for police and emergency services at the Arena during the Wisconsin Herd season.
The Oshkosh Common Council will still have to approve a special event permit for the concert.
