A recent carjacking in L.A. was foiled by an unlikely security device – The Club.
You remember The Club, don’t you?
Now you do. In the age of anti-theft this-and-that who’d have thought a throw-back ‘gimicky’ device like The Club would be as effective as it was.
The carjacker first tried to snatch the purse of an elderly lady when she decided to go all GTA and steal the car instead. That didn’t go so smoothly as she couldn’t turn the wheel of the car (as advertised) but persisted in continuing to smash backward and forward in the parking lot of a Ralph’s.
She crashed into at least six other vehicles during her spree.
She eventually was detained by citizens when she tried to flee on foot.
Two people were hurt during the carjacking but were treated at the scene.
