We’ve all left something in our pockets while doing laundry. Maybe it was a piece of candy or gum, some money or even ear buds but it was never life-threatening.
One very lucky Spanish man narrowly escaped certain injury (or death) when someone left a lighter in their clothes.
In the video below, we see a man leaving a laundromat in Spain literally seconds later the dryer closest to the door explodes. The dryer is engulfed in flames and the force of the blast blows out the ENTIRE FRONT of the LAUNDROMAT!
Authorities say the cause of the blast is a Clipper lighter left in someone’s laundry. The lighter, they estimate, overheated and exploded – that, combined with the dryer being a gas-heated unit (with a possible leak), contributed to the concussive violence of the explosion.
