KAUKAUNA, Wis. — A suspect is now in custody in connection with a police standoff in Kaukauna. The incident started with the report of a suspicious person in the 14-hundred block of Crooks Avenue around 3:00 this (Thursday) morning.
Officers learned that the man had an active warrant and tried to take him into custody. A pursuit ensued, with police using stop sticks to blow out the tires on the suspect’s pickup truck along County Highway “C-E” and Fieldcrest Drive.
He refused to comply with orders to exit the vehicle and was believed to be armed. The truck was surrounded by police and SWAT team vehicles.
Around 10:30, the suspect reportedly tried to run away but was apprehended. There are no reports of any injuries.
