“I can’t see two feet in front of me, but I can see tomorrow.”
Comic Darryl Lennox joined us in the studio several times over the last couple of decades when he would visit Appleton to headline at the Skyline Comedy Club. In addition to being very funny, Darryl was an interesting dude who burned with an inner intelligence that you could feel from the moment he entered the room. From being the son of a pimp to spending half his life dealing with degenerative sight loss which eventually rendered him legally blind, Darryl was never afraid to find humor in the darkest places. He also did the world’s best impression of Morgan Freeman.
Darryl left the stage permanently yesterday at Vancouver General Hospital surrounded by family. He was 58.
