Earlier this week Dolly Parton announced a double rock album. 30 songs all with a rock flare to them. Yes this is from the Queen of country music herself doing rock songs. The album is called Rockstar and is due out in November. It will feature a who’s who of rock legends including former Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Nikki Sixx, Rob Halford, Peter Frampton, John 5, and so many more. The album will be a mix of cover songs and originals and today we get our first taste. The song is called “World on Fire” and you can check it out for yourself and decide if Dolly Parton’s new rock direction is something you’re all about.
