We are proud to name as this week’s Rick and Cutter Show Weenies of the Week…the 30 or so people involved in an all-out brawl last week during a funeral at Blaney Funeral Home in Green Bay. And while all thirty have some whiff of Weenie on them, some have more than others like the three men who were arrested at the funeral home; 20-year-old Brandon Harris, 21-year-old Exzavion Shepard and, potentially weeniest of all, 51-year-old Anthony Stokes who allegedly incited the memorial mayhem.
One witness said a man, later identified as Stokes, began speaking over the preacher and then arguing with a woman. Another witness told police he was “yelling things like ‘That’s a lie’ and ‘That’s not true’ and something about ‘the devil.’”
Witnesses said someone grabbed him, then several joined in pushing him out the door, yelling at him to leave, then quote “chaos broke out and everyone in the funeral home began fighting.”
Stokes, who was reportedly a cousin of the deceased and allegedly arrived at the funeral home intoxicated, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct. Harris and Shepard were charged with disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer.
An interesting sidenote; according to the police report, during the chaos, a Green Bay police officer attempting to arrest Shepard, accidently slapped the handcuffs on one of her fellow police officers instead. Ope!
So,
For participating a full-blown brawl at a memorial service which is a pretty effective way to take the fun out of funeral.
For actions that changed the pall bearers into appalled bearers.
For making me look like a hypocrite by taking a shot at Stokes for allegedly being intoxicated when I come from Menasha where I didn’t learn until I was in my late teens that you were allowed to attended funerals sober.
We are proud to name the thirty or so funeral fracas fighters from the Blaney Funeral Home in Green Bay as this week’s Rick and Cutter Show…WEENIES OF THE WEEK.
