Gotta Have Rock and Roll is currently auctioning off a collection of six rare Beatles tapes, which include unreleased songs, rehearsal recordings, and interviews by the band members, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.
The tapes, titled “The Beatles Derek Taylor Never-Before-Heard Collection of Lost Beatles Recordings,” are anticipated to go for around $300,000 and $500,000.
Tape One contains rehearsal sessions for the Sgt. Pepper album, which were captured during the late months of 1966 and early months of 1967, some farm animal sounds, vocals in various accents, and a brief moment where Paul McCartney vents his frustrations about the heat.
Tape Two features more voice accents by George Harrison, audio of him jamming alongside the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, and a rendition of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” featuring Jimmy Page. Tape Three continues to spotlight Harrison with the Doo-Dah Band.
Tape Four provides a 45-minute interview with John Lennon, in which he is questioned about Yoko Ono’s intentions with him, and as the auction page reads, “discusses very personal matters, very revealing.”
Tape Five is about two hours long, highlighting Ono and some of his primal scream therapy. It also includes a discussion with Ono about John Lennon.
Lastly, Tape Six takes place around Christmas time and features acoustic guitar playing by Lennon, as well as him singing songs that he wrote with Kyoko Chan Cox, Ono’s daughter from her first marriage.
