OSHKOSH, Wis. — After a media report that a Black administrator was unable to cash his paycheck, the Oshkosh School Board may look to change banks.
Our TV partner Action 2 News was first to report that new Assistant Superintendent Sam Coleman was told it was Associated Bank policy not to cash the check even though it was drawn on an account at the bank.
At last week’s school board meeting, member Stephanie Carlin asked to review the decision to work with Associated…………….
Carlin did not refer to the Coleman incident in asking for her banking review.
Associated has since issued a statement saying the branch should have cashed his check.
