TOWN OF CHESTER, Wis. — Two people are dead and five others are injured following a wrong-way crash near Waupun.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a box truck heading south on the northbound side of U.S. Highway 151 hit a Kia passenger car head-on shortly after 2:45 a.m. Wednesday. A Chevrolet passenger car then struck the Kia.
The 25-year-old man driving the Kia and a 28-year-old woman riding with him were pronounced dead at the scene. The two other passengers were taken to hospitals via ambulance.
The three people in the Chevrolet were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The condition of the 69-year-old Pennsylvania man driving the truck was not released.
The crash remains under investigation.
