A Wisconsin “Swiftie” (WiSwiftie) is making heads turn with her creative Halloween decorations.
Calling it appropriately The ScarEras Tour, Katelyn McLaughlin, a Sun Prairie, WI resident, said she was inspired to create her display after attending a Taylor Swift concert in June.
McLaughlin said, “I couldn’t stop thinking about how good of an idea it was, and I started obsessing watching the videos from the show to figure out which outfits were in the cases.”
So she gathered plastic skeletons and started crafting costumes made popular by Swift on her recent Eras Tour. Her family helped out too with McLaughlin’s husband making the showcases for the 10 skeleton yard display. The completed skeletons were then placed in the frames to recreate one of the sets from the concert.
The seasonal Swift-inspired display has since gone viral, racking up millions of views on social media along with much praise for her creativity.
According to McLaughlin, “I have met so many people. I have made friendship bracelets and handed them to people who stop by.”
So how about any reactions from the woman who inspired the display, Taylor Swift herself?
McLaughlin said, “It would be the most amazing thing if she reached out. If she saw it, I hope it made her smile. I always joke that if she responded, I would lay down and pass away.”
