This seems like something Michael Bay would direct for the “Transformers” movie series: a constructicon vs constructicon battle to the death.
Police in Norcross, Georgia were called when a recently-fired employee (Eddie Sanchez (38)) returned to a waste management company and took a frontloader out for a joy ride.
When cops arrived, Sanchez was still in the company lot but took off down a public road with the 75,000 pound machine – police chased after him but couldn’t really do anything as the frontloader was a bit out of their weight class. So they went back to the business, got an employee to get in a second frontloader and chase down Sanchez and the stolen first, frontloader.
Police gave the second frontloader an escort a couple miles away and then the second frontloader engaged the first frontloader in equipment combat and ended up flipping the first on it’s side.
Sanchez was charged with theft, obstruction, criminal damage to property eluding police and reckless driving.
Honestly if people “jousting” with construction equipment was a televised sport – I’d watch the hell out of that.
