Well if this doesn’t tell you to buy a lottery ticket, I’m not sure what will.
An Oregon man is thanking his lucky stars, guardian angel, whatever – as he missed being sliced in half – lengthwise – by a runaway concrete saw blade.
A Eugene, Oregon man (Shane Reimche) was headed into a convenience store when a concrete saw blade came loose from a nearby construction site and came hurtling towards him.
Video below shows the runaway saw blade hurtling across the parking lot and slamming into the QuickTrip convenience store, seconds after Reimche went through the front door.
Here’s the news report from KEZI 9 about the incident.
Reimche says he immediately started shaking when he saw what happened, and he had trouble talking for a few minutes.
A utility company was repairing a leaky gas valve at an intersection nearby. One of the construction workers blamed it on a loose bolt and “potential operator error.”
