This is one of those, “Why didn’t I Think of THAT!” inventions.
An Arizona man named Chris Randazzo has spent the last decade of his life creating a popcorn bucket that easily fits in a cupholder but holds the same amount of popcorn as a large bucket from a movie theater… Presenting the Hands Free Popcorn Bucket.
Randazzo’s eureka moment came while he and his wife were at (of all places) the movie theater. “I thought to myself, if there’s only a way I could just put this bucket in the cup holder, then I could put my arm around my wife and still eat the popcorn.”
That began 10 years of tinkering, prototypes and patents (2) for the HFPB.
Randazzo developed his first prototype in 2014, cutting a soda cup in half and gluing it to the bottom of a greasy popcorn tub. It wasn’t rocket science (more pop it science). Even three strikes on trying to make the “Shark Tank” finals didn’t deter him – that’s Cuban’s loss.
After working with overseas manufacturers (and eventually a local one in the Mesa, AZ area where he lives) Randazzo refined the product and opened an online store handsfreepopcornbucket.com and also an Esty store.
Chris is selling the buckets online for $18 and is currently shopping the idea around to movie theaters.
Cut and Print… money for this brilliant idea!
