What Could POSSIBLY Go Wrong With This?
Countdown to neighborhoods burning across the country in 3…2…1…
A company in Ohio – accurately-named Throwflame – has developed a fire-breathing robot dog called the Thermonator that… throws flame.
Wouldn’t have InFURno been a better name?
The remote-controlled, flamethrowing dog is priced at about $10,000 ($9,420) and has the power to shoot 30-foot jets of fire.
But Wait! There’s More!
This thing also uses its laser sight, flashlight, and light-sensitive mapping capabilities to operate at night. You operate it over WiFi or Bluetooth with a remote control… that most-certainly couldn’t possibly be hacked.
Throwflame says they’re legal in all 50 states and suggests the Thermonator could be used for wildlife control, controlled burns (uncontrolled burns too), clearing weeds, pyrotechnics, pest removal, snow and ice removal, and “general entertainment.”
By the way the music they use in the promotional video is called “Destroyer of Worlds” – take that as you will.
O.K. Dragon, now go torch the neighborhood… GOOD BOY!!!
