KIMBERLY, Wis–The new boys head basketball coach at Kimberly High School has an impressive on-the-court resume. Former Wisconsin Badgers guard Freddie Owens is taking over the Papermaker program.
Owens played in Madison from 2000 to 2004, winning three Big Ten Championships. He also was an assistant coach at Wisconsin, U-W Green Bay, and Oregon State. Owens takes over from Jon Murphy, who retired last spring.
