“Don’t mess with a bull, young man. You’ll get the horns.” This said in the 1985 movie The Breakfast Club by Mr. Richard “Dick” Vernon (Paul Gleason) to John Bender (Judd Nelson).
But even if you shift the focus from Shermer High School in Illinois to a topical beach in Los Cabos, Mexico and switch the young man to a middle-aged woman – still the message/warning remains the same.
Except rather than extended detention you get a beach bull beat-down.
This was the scene on La Fortuna beach in Los Cabos when a bull wandered onto the beach and instead of backing away and giving the bull some space, the woman seemed more concerned about gathering her belonging than her personal safety. This would be her critical error in judgement as the bull – agitated by a recent confrontation with some dogs near the beach – takes out it’s aggression on the clueless tourist (read the beach ma’am).
Of all the crazy things that happen on a daily basis on the beaches in Mexico, this has to be one for the books – Ole’!
