.We are proud to name as this week’s weenie of the week. An unnamed man apparently from the Appleton area who’s been drinking for free at area Manitowoc County bars for far too long. Yes, we know the best kind of beer is free beer but that’s only when it’s offered by a friendly face. Not when it’s stolen and drunk while the bartender looks right at you. Gibby’s doghouse in Reedsville posted a photo of a man sitting at their bar wearing a black baseball cap, and a black t-shirt and seems to have longer or unkept gray hair and wears glasses. A look that can only be described as the wish.com or Temu version of Stephen King. Gibby’s said in the most sarcastic tone “This lovely gentleman” decided to walk out on his bar tab. And according to the post when he was confronted he almost ran their bartender over. Don’t worry Dawn is ok.
So you’d think that’s a one-time thing but you’d be wrong. It seems like this same person has done this to at least ten other bars, all in that area and all in the span of about a week. including The Schuh factory, Branch Station, Big Apple, Timeout, Overtime Bar, Trackside, Wildcats Long Branch salon, Tavern 10, and apparently even at a gas station in Whitelaw and Luigi’s Pizza in Manitowoc! Seems like this guy is taking advantage of our Wisconsin nice at local watering holes. His thirst is hard to quench but with all this information surely he can’t be hard to catch? But at the time of this, he is still out there looking for his next bar to run out on all while allegedly soiling his pants and driving presumably drunk in a beat-up old beemer. Yes, that’s correct he drives a gray old 4-door BMW.
So for drinking more free drinks than that one aunt at your cousin’s wedding, for refusing to pay more tabs than a football player during training camp in DePere. (I’ll explain that story another day) And for causing bartenders more anxiety than Charlie Sheen on a ten-day coked-up bender, we are happy to name the tanked-up highway ten tab runner, or the malicious mashed moron of Manitowoc county as this week’s….
