A common question where Guinness World Records are concerned is; Of all the Guinness World Records in the World – is there a Guinness World Record for the person with the MOST Guinness World Records in the World ?
The quick answer is, “YES!”
Idaho man (Idahoian?) David Rush officially holds that record, along with 181 others.
Rush holds the most Guinness World Records in the world – a distinction he earned by earning a new world record for smashing records – the vinyl kind.
While this blogger disavows the wanton and mindless abuse and destruction of vinyl – to each their own – Rush completed his 2024 (and lifetime) goal of holding the most concurrent Guinness World Records titles by breaking 55 of the albums in the allotted time (30 sec) and in the process became the holder of the most concurrent Guinness World Records titles.
Rush aimed to concurrently hold at least 181 Guinness World Records to surpass Italian serial record-breaker Silvio Sabba’s total of 180.
So this back-and-forth may go on for awhile – which may earn both another world record for the longest, ongoing, Guinness World Record, world record-breaking competition between two people and could ironically be the world record tie-breaking record.
