I swear, that’s the only Foo Fighters song I’ll reference. The whole “There Goes My Hero,” line is getting old. I think the keyboard warriors out there smugly letting everyone who’s upset about Dave cheating on his wife that they shouldn’t be shocked a rockstar strayed, are missing the point completely. No one is really stunned a famous person cheated, we’re dismayed that Dave Grohl cheated.

You see, even if Dave didn’t ask to be put on a pedestal, he was yeeted up there by his fans. A seemly fun loving guy and a girl dad to 3 daughters. Married for over 20 years, living the life, why would you throw that all away?
In the statement he put out on Tuesday he said
“I love my wife and children, and I’m doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
I wonder how he plans to do that. By maybe not having anymore children with women who aren’t his wife? But I’m straying from the point I wanted to make. People cheat. A LOT of people cheat and we want evidence that good people still exist out there. Perhaps celebrities aren’t the greatest people to look up to when we search for the greater good in people, but they are the most accessible.
I am one of those people who softly breathed out a “nooooooooooooooo” when I heard about Dave’s infidelity. The list of “good guys,” well, celebrity “good guys” has dwindled to just a couple in my mind. Jon Bon Jovi and Keanu Reeves are the two that I think of. Seriously, if anything bad ever comes out about Keanu, I’m done. I recently bought a Meta Quest 3 Virtual Reality Headset. I’ll put that thing on and never take it off.
