If you miss dying of dysentery, typhoid fever, cholera, getting run over by a wagon, starvation or any other possible horrific outcome while traversing the neophyte United States of 1848 – you can now watch it happen to other people on the big screen.
One of the most successful computer games of all time, The Oregon Trail, is being developed to become an action/comedy movie by Apple.
The Oregon Trail co-creator Bill Heinemann says about the computer game he developed in 1971, “It’s surprising and gratifying and humbling, in a way, that a little thing that I spent two weeks on has become a worldwide phenomenon.” Heinemann continued saying, “Its Surprising to me how popular it’s become and how long the interest in it has been around and this is just the next step I guess.”
