A Colorado man had a very strange commute to work earlier this week resulting in him spilling his coffee and running for his life.
An unidentified man in Evergreen, CO had a close encounter with an elk that was repeatedly charging at him. Bystander, Greg Nieto, shot video of how the sequence of events led up to the close encounter, and how the man fended the animal off.
The unidentified man was walking to work (with his coffee) when he was confronted by a large bull elk blocking his path.
AS you will see in the video below, the man first tried yelling at the animal (that didn’t work) but the elk stood his ground. The man then moved a little closer (questionable tactic), which the elk didn’t appreciate and displayed its annoyance by charging at the man who desperately threw his coffee at the animal and ran away.
Maybe he just got too close to the elk’s de-calf?
