PBS Wisconsin is giving viewers special behind-the-scenes and front row looks at the annual Mile of Music Festival in Appleton.
PBS Wisconsin Presents: Mile of Music – Appleton, Wisconsin was filmed last August during Mile 11.
The documentary captures the vibrant annual festival and the essence, energy and impact of the annual original music celebration held in Appleton, Wisconsin.
PBS Wisconsin deployed nearly 40 crew members to embed themselves in every aspect of Mile of Music to capture content such as organizing, production and logistical plans PLUS spotlighting performances and performers at venues up and down (and a little off) the famed College Avenue mile.
The documentary captures the work that goes into creating the festival, the music that makes the festival move and the community that comes together to celebrate the musicians at the heart of the event.
PBS Wisconsin Presents: Mile of Music – Appleton, Wisconsin premieres on PBS Wisconsin, June 23rd.
