It seemed like EVERY major rock act played at the Black Sabbath ‘Back to the Beginning’ show this past weekend.
Actor/Comedian/Musician Jack Black wasn’t there on stage but was in spirit and on screen.
Black and his new School of Rock ( with the teenage sons of Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello (Roman, guitar), and Anthrax’s Scott Ian (Revel, bass), alongside a couple more youngsters in Yoyoka Soma (drums) and Hugo Weiss (synth)) paid tribute (see what I did there) to the Prince of Darkness by faithfully recreating Ozzy’s “Mr. Crowley” video – And it’s SPOT ON!
All profits from the show “Back to the Beginning ” will be paid to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s hospital & Acorn Children’s Hospice to the tune of nearly $200 million dollars.
BRAVO!
Here’s the O.G. “Mr. Crowley” video from Ozzy filmed at 31 Studios in Rochester, New York, later broadcast on the After Hours TV Show
