STURGEON BAY, WI — Sturgeon Bay Police warn about scammers claiming to be with a major motion picture studio.
Police say on July 17 two men went to a local business saying they’re working for Paramount Pictures on a movie project and needed old electrical equipment for props. They left a flyer with a list of the types of machinery they were seeking and a cellphone number.
Police say the two men parked well away from the business making it hard to identify the vehicle they were driving.
A Sturgeon Bay Police officer tried the cell number which turned about to be in valid.
A photo of the two suspects can be found on the Sturgeon Bay Police Department Facebook posted below this article.
