The NHL’s Seattle Kraken go up against the Boston Bruins a couple times a year. But an encounter the Kraken mascot had with an REAL Bear was just as tense and exciting.
Members of the team, along with their mascot Buoy (who’s apparently a sea troll), traveled Katmai National Park in Alaska to do a little fly fishing, but their peaceful adventure was interrupted by some of the locals, those being grizzly bears, who also wanted in on the abundant fish. And, like most locals, they found the tourists were unwanted.
The bears made their feelings very clear as they moved closer to the players, and one even charged at Buoy the mascot which prompted the Kraken and staff to (smartly) get out of the water immediately – receiving a game misconduct from the grizzly bears.
Video shared by the team shows the tense and scary encounter.
But at least we now know that grizzly bears (who are omnivores) also eat sea trolls.
