Megadeth have formally announced that the end is indeed nigh for the thrash metal legends in a video narrated by the ever silent Vic Rattlehead.
After 40 years Dave Mustaine is putting to rest one of the most influential bands in the history of metal music. But not without a decent size bang beforehand. In the release of the video Dave is quoted saying this.
‘It’s our last studio album. We’ve made lots of friends over the years and I hope to see you all on our global farewell tour.’
The Megadeth website currently has a countdown, not to extinction, but rather to preorder the yet to be named final album. The global tour has also been kept under wraps but we’re guessing it’ll be announced at the same time the album will which is September 26th.
