Part of me kinda wishes we could use this “scared straight” tactic on all influencers to rid the world of their look-at-me / dancing / heart hands / public displays of social media narcissism… but maybe that’s too extreme.
Two “food influencers” (fooincers?) were in the middle of eating and reviewing (based on their acute culinary backgrounds I’m sure) a plate of food at a restaurant called CuVee’s Culinary Creations located in Houston, Texas, when some actual, real content came through the wall and into their laps.
An SUV crashed through the window directly into them. Guess they shouldn’t have ordered from Door Crash.
Of course it was caught on camera – because they’re influencers (Duh!) and honestly it looked scary.
Would they have seen the vehicle barreling towards them if they weren’t staring into the social abyss of their phone making content???
Maybe. But apparently they will be okay. I’ll bet the accident brought more attention to the restaurant (and unfortunately the influencers) than any “review” ever could.
Wonder if the sound they made when the SUV crashed their video counts as a literal “Yelp” review?
