We are proud to name as this week’s Laura Lee and Cutter Weenie of the Week, the Milwaukee Tool fool, Matthew Yang. He’s accused of stealing more than $1 million in tools from his employer, Milwaukee Tool. Yang, who probably felt like he was a top-tier computer hacker because in the past he was able to download free songs from Napster, manipulated the ordering system, and wrote over 100 false orders for himself, then deleted them from the computer. Prosecutors think Yang may have been selling the stolen products directly to customers and keeping the profits. Pro tip: If you’re going to steal from your place of employment, keep it to a minimum. These orders Yang had put in and then deleted from the company’s system resulted in a total loss of more than $1 million. I promise you, at some point, someone will notice a stack is missing from the books. Now, it took his bosses over a year to figure it out, but he slipped up when he had 9,000 pounds of tools delivered to his Wauwatosa apartment. That’s either a hefty weekend project your wife set you on, or you’re looking a little sus. This made Milwaukee Tool open an investigation and ope, fraud.
So, for using your own work login to steal over a million in tools, nothing says criminal mastermind like committing digital theft while logged in under your real name
For almost ensuring someone in the courtroom at one point will grunt like Tim Allen did on Tool Time, and for now facing a whole TOOLBOX of charges.. Hey ohhhhh
We are proud to name this tool time tool bag of Milwaukee Tool as this week’s Laura Lee & Cutter Weenie of the week
