Well, at least you tried.
That was the general sentiment of Door County Sheriffs.
On Friday night, the Door County Sheriff’s Office said deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on State Highway 42.
The sheriff’s office said the vehicle was missing a driver’s side headlight and that a handheld flashlight had been placed and pointed forward as a substitute.
“While an attempt was made to increase visibility, a flashlight is not a safe or legal replacement for proper headlights,” the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office didn’t say if the driver would face additional citations for the headlight.
