We are proud to name as this week’s Laura Lee and Cutter Weenies of the week whoever decided to complain to the Green Bay Police Department about one of their new recruits having tattoos. Well, specifically one of their new recruits, a Marine who has a couple of patriotic tattoos. The GBPD posted a picture online and released it as part of a press release to announce 5 new recruits who were sworn in to the Police Department. Two of those recruits have visible tattoos on their arms, one of them has one a bit more patriotic than the other. Not to mention complaining about a person’s tattoos is so 1950s.
According to the statement released by Police Chief Chris Davis, Walden is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who received the tattoos while deployed overseas. He told investigators the American flag tattoo represents his patriotism and military service, while the “Three Percenter” tattoo was intended to symbolize resistance to tyranny, not affiliation with any extremist ideology or unlawful organization.
They do an extensive background check on these guys, and we’re way less worried about a new cop with tattoos than we are about cops who are being accused of stalking. And seriously, who complains about people having tattoos at this point in time? It’s rarer at this point to be over the age of 18 and not have tattoos than it is to have them. Like, the Chief of Police had to issue a statement about it because of the complaints they got. In 2026, people are complaining about a cop having tattoos. They think that’s bad, they’re really gonna hate seeing the men and women who become US Marshals!
So for acting like these police recruits should be somewhere in the middle east where having tattoos is a punishable crime, for acting like Laura’s mom (they’re birds mom!) and thinking they are part of a gang, and for pretending visible tattoos are a public safety threat instead of, you know… crime.
We are proud to name these constantly complaining Citizens as this week’s Laura Lee and Cutter Weenies of the week.
