Sooooo…. you know the warnings when you go to a car wash about “dullays”, “folding in morrors” and the like?
Well… it should probably also include something about making sure your truck bed is free of loose materials OR big spools of wire.
That’s what happened to a guy who took his truck through a car was recently and forgot he had a large spool of stainless steel wire in the bed.
That wire then got caught up in the spinning brushes of the wash and basically wrecked the entire car wash and scratched the s#$T out of the vehicle behind him.
Good thing is that the wire was stainless so no harm there… but the car wash itself looks pretty FUBAR’d.
I know the sign outside the wash usually indicates something about the car wash NOT being responsible for vehicle damage… pretty sure that doesn’t go both ways – especially when you are the one who wrecks a $150K facility.
Have fun explaining that to your insurance.
