We get news of non-domestic animals escaping seemingly every day so it’s a rare happening when the ENTIRE farm decides to go free-range and say “adios” to the family homestead.
An Indiana deputy responding to what he thought was a routine call about an animal in the road ended up facing… an entire runaway farm.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says the deputy expected to find a single goat, but arrived to find chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese — and several goats. The animals were all wandering across the roadway after escaping from a nearby property.
Body‑cam video posted online shows the deputy doing a bit of impromptu herding, guiding the whole feathery, furry crew back behind a gate. The sheriff’s office says no animals were hurt and everything wrapped up safely, with every last escapee rounded up and returned home.
